What is HCP?

HCP stand for Heaven cares Pakistan. Heaven Cares Pakistan (HCP) has been working for the past 5 years in both urban and rural areas of Punjab, Pakistan. HCP is social services of Philadelphia Pentecostal Church of Pakistan Daud Nagar Faisalabad. HCP is working for the uplift and empowerment of the downtrodden of the poor and helpless people of the society. The main objective is, to aware the people and inviting the genius and genuine people from the community to come together to serve the humanity. The staff of HCP is also giving trainings and organizing awareness programs in urban and rural areas. HCP involves community at the gross level by encouraging the integrated approach with environmental, social, political and economic consideration in the strategic interventions for development of community. This community initiative has now spread to the other districts with interventions for the strategic development of the community.

Legal status:

                HCP is registered with the government under Societies Registration Act. 1860, under the registration number RJSC/FSD/653/09.


History

           Though the social work was carrying on from establishment of church (1987) but in 2005, Pastor Incharge Rev. Shakeel Francis felt the need of formal welfare organization named by Heaven Cares Pakistan.The existing welfare project (No Drugs, Thank You) initiated by Philadelphia Pentecostal Church of Pakistan was coped by HCP and new ones were also initiated. HCP started work from Faisalabad but always try to approach other areas in possible capacity. Frequent visits for No Drugs awareness campaigns are on the record. Different awareness material (Broachers, posters, Cassettes, CDs ect.) prepared by HCP is moving from north to south, east to west in the country. For the permanent work stations out of the city, in 2009 it started work in Korein Gojra (for the affected people) by forming an Education Development and skilled hands center. Since April 2010, HCP has started an elementary school for boys in Daud Nagar Faisalabad. HCP is also running two street/community libraries with No Drugs awareness centers in Faisalabad.


Vision:

To provide platform to lower people to raise their confidence, give them opportunities to polish their talents. Main objective is to save teens from Drugs and perversions and lead them to a better moral life through education, environmental care and skilled hands.


Mission:
                Empowering communities with alternative approaches to development, human rights and culture of people.


Aim / Objectives: 

To provide awareness for all the boys/young men who are not studying, not working and living in the " Danger Zone" to be alcohol and drug addicts.
To rehabilitate addicts, mainly to help them to continue to study, to discuses common interest, to stimulate to creativity and remit / network with other organisations.

To arrange games for teens and youth for their mental health and protection from drug abuse.

To rise awareness among adolescent about reproductive health, HIV/AIDS and negative consequences of drug addiction.

To motive and enable people to participate in the process of sustainable development in order to improve their livelihood.

To develop self sustainable programs of special education, health and disability in the community.

To arrange awareness programs on health care and different diseases.
